INtegrate is an NSHE (Nevada System of Higher Education) initiative to replace aging legacy applications with modern solutions that will support students, employees, and the financial processing needs for all the colleges and universities within the state. After a thorough search and competitive bidding process, Oracle/PeopleSoft software was selected, with CedarCrestone providing implementation services. The first system to be installed is the Student Administration product that will replace the SIS application used today for all student area processing. UNLV serves as a pilot institution in the implementation, preparing to have the system fully in place to support the Fall '10 term. Many of the decisions that become the foundation of UNLV's PeopleSoft system are data based -- establishing set up tables and variables, mapping data to prepare for conversion from the old SIS, applying NSHE common data element decisions, and adhering to UNLV data policies and procedures. Hence the strong role of data governance in the implementation.
